Even with a degree in Business Administration, Cade Castro still enjoys the funny and silly aspects of life.
He is a laid back and friendly guy with a bright future ahead of him.
Castro first started attending SPC in the fall semester of 2013. He chose SPC based on the welcoming nature of the campus.
“You can really get along and relate to everyone, because you see them all the time, “Castro says, “instead of a bigger college where you only see a person once.”
Once Castro had started attending SPC, he had many wonderful impressions of the college. He found the college to be very comfortable.
“I attended a 6A high school,” explained Castro. “SPC wasn’t that much bigger than that school was.”

To him, it was comforting to not have to go through a big change size-wise.
When he first started college, Castro says he was not sure exactly what he wanted to major in. He started out as a general studies student before changing his major to Business Administration. Castro had a hard time figuring out exactly what he wanted to do. However, after talking to his adviser and taking a few words of advice from his mom, he knew that Business Administration was the career for him.
During his time at SPC, Castro found many different activities that made his time at SPC as enjoyable as possible. He really enjoyed all the resources that the campus had to offer, including the Physical Education Complex.
“The Complex gave me a place to work out, which is something that I really like to do,” Castro says.
He also enjoyed participating in intramural sports, along with many other activities that the college had throughout the year.
Castro graduated from SPC in the spring of 2014. After graduating, he decided to further his education at Texas Tech University to pursue his bachelor’s degree. However, Castro still stays connected to the SPC campus. He works as a supervisor at the Physical Education Complex in the evenings.
Even though he has already graduated, Castro is still a part of the SPC community.
“I know a lot of people there,” he says, “and a lot of my friends still go there.” He adds, “Working at the Complex, you get to know regular people who go in there, not just students and workers. It is like a community.”
Although Castro enjoys working at the Complex, he has many plans for the future.
“I hopefully want to be a manager or a CEO of a company,“ he says.
Castro also has thought about possibly owning his own gym.
When Castro is not busy with classes or working at the Complex, there are many things that he enjoys in his free time. He still enjoys working out, but he also enjoys relaxing with a little TV.
“My mother got me into Empire,” says Castro. “I started watching that.”
He said that he also enjoys watching funnier shows such as “Family Guy” and “Bob’s Burgers.” “A lot of people look at me and think I’m the serious type,” says Castro, “but that is not me.”
