Rihanna debuts new sound, style in ‘ANTI’

Rihanna never fails to release beautiful, upbeat music.

In her latest album, “ANTI”, Rihanna showcases many different sounds. From late 80’s, early 90’s ballad rhythm to modern electronic beats Rihanna’s “ANTI” fits anybody’s taste.

In the beginning of her music career, Rihanna kept her music safe by releasing nice melodies usually referring to being in love and living life.

In recent years, Rihanna has been showing her true self in her music. Her quirky “I don’t care” attitude is noticeable in her songs.

Although her music has been changing throughout the years, she still keeps her originality. Some songs in “ANTI” are classic Rihanna.

“Love on the Brain” is one of my favorites. She has such a different yet beautiful sound. The song is filled with soul and just makes me want to sing it out loud, as loud as possible.

One of her most famous songs from this recent album is “Work.”

“Work” features Drake and is one of her more upbeat songs. Many might not notice, but “Work” isn’t just a song that makes you want to dance, it has a bigger meaning behind it. In the song, she sings about keeping her relationship going. She wants to keep “putting in work” to not let things die out. She also mentions how if she is trying to keep the relationship going, so should her partner.

“Desperado” is another one of my favorites. This song is more chill yet fun to listen to. Her raspy, yet soothing voice makes it very interesting to listen to.

Also, the Barbadian singer and songwriter really sticks to her roots by letting her accent be heard in plenty of her songs.

What makes this album different from the rest is that Rihanna shows her true self and inspires others to not be afraid to be themselves. Her music and lyrics are soothing and can also be fun to listen to. Wether you are alone and doing homework or out with your friends, “ANTI” is great for any occasion.

Rihanna is one of the few artists that can pull off any style. When she raps in “ANTI” it sounds just as amazing as when she is singing her heart out. The transition of sounds and melodies makes it easier to attract listeners.

I have been listening to Rihanna since I was about 10 years old. She’s always had a great effect on me. I love her attitude and the way she expresses herself in her albums.

Rhianna is one of my favorite artists and never disappoints me. Her style and way of living her life is very inspiring and she really shows that through her music.

“ANTI” was definitely one of my favorites.

I give this album 5 out of 5 stars.
