You can’t photograph the wind. It’s invisible, right? Wrong.
Photographing the wind is exactly what students in News Photography, COMM 1316, were assigned to do this week.
On Tuesday, Feb. 14, local news stations reported the National Weather Service issued a High Wind Warning for Lubbock, Hockley, and surrounding counties. According to KLBK, wind gusts were expected to be as high as 75 miles per hour.
Students braved the wind in order to capture it using digital cameras- not necessarily an easy thing to do considering this is still photography. It might have been easier to see subtle movement using digital video cameras.
Here’s what they found.
What would you have tried to shoot?
