The Levelland library will be hosting events through the rest of the week celebrating Banned Books Week.
Monday and Tuesday the library provided breakfast, along with crafts and coloring and a banned books puzzle. Students can still stop by to do some crafts and coloring or try the banned books puzzle Wednesday through Friday.
Emma Luna, a library employee on the Levelland campus, said, “Banned Books Week is a celebration of banned books…So either it’s just not in the curriculum or it’s just either too violent or it has very controversial themes. That’s why they are banned. But we celebrate it because no matter if it’s banned or not, they are still great pieces of literature.”
