“Star Wars” in a new light

Editor’s note:  Newswriting COMM 2311-601 students wrote the following text.  Photography students from COMM 1318 snapped the photos.  Their names are on the files.

South Plains College photography students may not be saving the galaxy, but the force is still with them.

Students in COMM 1318 Photography 1 recently practiced capturing long exposure photos with light wands that look a lot like light sabers.

They could use more than one wand to create each photo, and they often did.  Each wand can produce different colors.

They had to master the settings on their cameras to expose the light and overcome the power of the dark side.

Here are the SPC Jedi in training photos.
