Power in patterns: Students capture patterns on campus

Patterns in photography can be pleasing to the eye. They can be anything that repeat like lines, shapes, or colors. They can be found in nature, or they can be man-made. They are not always obvious.

When you find one, sometimes it can make a photograph a bit mesmerizing – especially if it fills the whole frame.

Students in COMM 1318 Photography 1 recently went hunting for patterns. They didn’t have long to do it. So, they had to make some “snap” decisions.

Here’s what they found.
