The Texan Mosaic is expanding its storytelling beyond the written word with the launch of the Texan Mosaic Podcast, now streaming on Spotify and YouTube. The new series gives South Plains College students a space to share their perspectives, talk about campus life, and explore issues shaping the college community.
Each episode is hosted by different student journalists from the Texan Mosaic newsroom and features interviews, student opinions, and the segment “Texan Top 5,” a roundup of the biggest stories happening around SPC. Listeners can also follow along through short clips and highlights posted on Facebook and Instagram.
The first episode, “The Impact of Social Media,” features hosts Kamrin Varnell and Angel Castillo, who dive into the ways social platforms shape communication, connection, and daily life for SPC students. The hosts also took to campus to hear firsthand what students think about their relationship with social media.
