Looking for a Christmas gift that feels personal, affordable, and a little magical? SPC reporter Amber Elizondo visited the South Plains College greenhouse to learn how to build a holiday-themed fairy garden you can make at home.
Biology Department Chair and botany instructor Kristin Bingham walks Amber through every step, from choosing a container to picking the right soil, arranging tropical plants, and adding creative touches like moss, aqua stones, and tiny fairy furniture. Bingham also breaks down simple care tips so the garden stays healthy all season without a lot of upkeep.
Whether you are shopping for a plant lover or trying to create something unique for the holidays, this project shows how easy it can be to design a one-of-a-kind gift with items you may already have.
